I don't always handle it so well. I usually let them know in some way that I'm hurt or angry, but it usually takes me a little while to be able to fully express why I'm upset. So - I'll wait until I have the words (maybe an hour or so) to really express myself. Sometimes I'll wait until I've calmed down to talk things out.

I try to calm down first. I used to have a temper problem not so long ago and I've learned that if I speak when hurt or angry I have a hard time expressing myself and very often say things I don't mean or say them in a way that is hurtful to others. I've learned that for me that works best, but sometimes it's all about the situation and who it is too.
